Waters Quattro II
(Acquired Used in 2006)
The Quattro II is a quadrupole-hexapole-quadrupole (QHQ) mass spectrometer with a mass-to-charge range of 4,000 Da, with unit resolution across the entire mass range. Data acquisition and processing is controlled by the Waters MassLynx data system running on a Pentium 4 PC. The Quattro is equipped with an electrospray (ESI) ion source. The ESI source is capable of conventional and pneumatically-assisted electrospray. The hexapole collision cell allows MS/MS with collision energy of 0-250 eV. Samples are introduced into the instrument by loop injection or direct infusion through a syringe pump.
The Quattro II is the primary instrument for LR ESI.
The Quattro II is available for self-use by graduate students and post-docs. If you wish to be trained, please contact Furong Sun.
