| Andrew was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. As an undergraduate he attended Butler University, where he graduated with a B.S. in chemistry in 2007. During his time there, he did research with Dr. Anne Wilson working on the non-traditional synthesis of organometallic compounds. He came to the University of Illinois in 2007, where he is pursuing a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry. |
| Outside of lab, Andrew enjoys watching sports (including what he considers to be the greatest sport of all time, curling) and spending time with his girlfriend. |
