Sample Curricula
The course requirements for the CBI trainees are made up of four components:
- Departmental requirements
- CBI-TG core courses (2)
- MCB-580 Research Ethics and Responsibilities
- One 400 or 500 level course from School of Chemical Sciences offerings for School of Molecular and Cellular Biology students or one 400/500 level course from School of Molecular and Cellular Biology for School of Chemical Sciences students
Examples of representative course schedules for students from four of the six departments participating in the CBI training program are listed below. Since all departments have course electives, the two CBI core courses and the course under item 4 above can fulfill these electives. Obviously, these schedules are minimal requirements and in practice students can take more courses on topics of interest.
