Your announcement of this event has unleashed a flood of memories:

  1. I recall that the first photocopying machine I ever saw (was it a Xerox?) was in a Noyes Lab storage room. I thought it was magic.

  2. The huge periodic table in the big lecture hall showed element IL where Tc is now firmly located. Have you fixed it?

  3. As we exited John Bailar's 1:00 p.m. lecture on Coordination Compounds, we were shocked to learn that President Kennedy had been shot in Dallas. Am I giving my age away?
