Women Chemists Committee - Meetings
Upcoming Elections
Elections will be starting soon for next year's WCC Officers. Nominations are now being accepted through the end of the month. Make your nominations here! The positions available are as follows:
- Chair (open) – will guide the WCC; lead meetings; serve as liaison between the group and the Department of Chemistry and Women in Chemistry programs; assist officers and members.
- Vice-chair/Symposium Coordinator (open) – will directly assist the Chair; lead the WCC at times when the Chair is unable or unavailable to do so; will also have the primary role in the organization of an annual Undergraduate Research Symposium.
- Secretary (open) - take meeting minutes; maintain membership lists; will also be responsible for all WCC event advertising.
- Treasurer (open) – head of finances; maintain records and ensure appropriate use of funds.
- Social Events Coordinator (open) – organize events related to the social aspect of WCC goals and initiatives, both department-wide and group-based.
- Seminar Coordinator (open) – Assist the WIC program director, Ellen Wang-Althaus, in planning seminars and workshops; will also be responsible for seminar/meeting food and refreshments when necessary.
- Web Administrator (open) – maintain website in a timely manner; keep announcements and event calendar up to date.
Elections will be held in November.
