Kelleher Wins 2007 Pfizer Award
Professor Neil Kelleher of the Department of Chemistry at the University of Illinois was recently awarded the 2007 Pfizer Award in Enzyme Chemistry from the ACS Division of Biological Chemistry. The award, which comes with a gold medal and a cash prize, was presented at an award symposium during the 234th ACS National meeting August 19-23, 2007, Boston, MA. The award citation highlighted Neil's pioneering development of mass spectrome-try to examine intermediates in natural product synthesis and to characterize of post-translational modifications of proteins.
