Rogers Wins 2007 Baekeland Award
Professor John Rogers of the Department of Chemistry and the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Illinois recently was awarded the 2007 Leo Hendrik Baekeland Award for the American Chemical Society.
The award is conferred biennially upon an American chemist under 40 years of age in recognition of âÃÂÃÂaccomplishments in pure or industrial chemistry, as characterized by the initiative, creativeness, leadership, and perseverance of the individual and indicated by published or unpublished evidenceâÃÂÃÂ. The award consists of a gold medal and a cash prize of $5000.
