"One of the greatest joys of my job is interacting and learning about places and people around the world. It is amazing how cultures and experiences can be so different, but in the end we are all similar in our basic humanity. It is also rewarding to work in an industry that yields experiences applicable to some of the world's biggest challenges -- in my case being energy. I have been inspired by the energy situation on our planet and look to become more involved in the solution in the future."

Value of Illinois Education: "The strong undergraduate education provided a highly respected degree from a top engineering school. The recognition of the quality and rigor of an Illinois Chem E education has given my employer confidence in my ability to handle challenging, complex, and high accountability work. While in school, the school's emphasis on both teamwork and individual learning excellence have each provided skills to excel within a team and corporate environment. The hands on nature of learning also helped me solidify engineering concepts required to work in technical areas."
