Biography

I grew up in the very south of Germany and studied chemistry at the Philipps-Universität Marburg, Germany and the University of Cambridge, UK. I received my diploma under the guidance of Prof. Gerhard Hilt from the Philipps-Universität Marburg, Germany in 2005. Subsequently, I joined the research group of Prof. Studer for my doctoral studies at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität in Münster, Germany. My dissertation focused on the interaction of nitroxides (TEMPO) with organometallic compounds. After receiving my doctorate in the 2008 I joined the Denmark group as a postdoc, where I am now working on asymmetric halocyclization reactions.
