The Drickamer Fund, uniquely at Illinois and probably uniquely in the US, provides fellowships to graduate students in three departments, Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, Chemistry, and Physics. Harry Drickamer himself set out the terms of the fund in order to encourage cooperation between these departments that had meant the most to him and his students during his career. In this era of increasingly interdisciplinary studies, the fund is prescient in its vision.
