Located in the heart of Champaign County in east central Illinois, Champaign-Urbana (CU) is strategically poised at the intersection of three major interstates: I-57 which runs north-south, and I-72 and I-74 running east-west.
Champaign and Urbana are mid-sized, academic twin cities containing a “Flagship” university campus with a population of ~115,000 permanent residents plus 40,000 students. CU is a cosmopolitan, geographical hub with relatively short travel times to Chicago and Indianapolis (2 hours) and St. Louis (2.5 hours).
