Guidelines for IP500WB Usage

  1. A training/checkout is required before any user can use this instrument. Normally, an user would go through the training/checkout on the IP500NB with Dr. Mainz first before moving on to the IP500WB.
  2. The use of this instrument is by request only.  No walk-on usage is allowed.  No early start is permitted without Dr. Molitor's approval, even if the instrument may "appear" to be open.
  3. Prior approval is required before an user is allowed to change decoupler power settings from the standard values, or change the temperature outside the normal range, or change the cabling from its standard configuration. Always check with Dr. Molitor if in doubt.  If you don't, you could be liable for costly damages and instrument downtime, as well as loosing your privilege to use this spectrometer.
