We are able to offer the following services to alumni:

"Employment Opportunities Bulletin"

This is now a web page listing academic and post-doctoral positions that our office is notified of. It is updated when position listings are received. This service is for present students and alumni only. Please contact to receive a login and password. Current students and alumni who have graduated within the past year may also want to register with the online recruiting system to view industrial and government positions and to be eligible to participate in on-campus interviewing. Please contact the Career Counseling & Placement Services office in 105 Noyes for more information.

"Job Choices"

Our office receives a supply of "Job Choices" each year for our current graduates. This publication from the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) has a listing of many of the major corporations in the U. S. and the type of people they employ. Some alumni may wish to receive a copy if they plan to write letters to companies. Usually we are able to send a copy upon specific request.

Résumé & Cover Letter Critique

The Career Counseling & Placement Services office can review your résumé/CV, cover letter, or other supporting application documents for academic or industrial positions. Please call our office at 217-333-1051 if you wish to schedule an in-person appointment. You may also submit your documents for critique via e-mail to if you are not within the local region.
