Total Award Amount: $2,460,589 Total Award Period Covered: 08/15/07 - 05/31/11 Nano Metal Oxides for Photochemical Water Splitting Department of Energy, DE-AC276ER01198 Project Focus: The goal of this project is to develop new hierarchical assemblies of nanostructured metal oxides for potential use in photochemical water splitting. Total Award Amount: $415,000 Total Award Period Covered: 07/01/07 - 06/30/10 The Chemical Effects of High Intensity Ultrasound NSF, CHE 0315494 Project Focus: The goal of this project are to investigate sonochemistry and sonoluminescence; primarily directed towards inorganic materials and nanostructured catalysts. Total Award Amount: $590,000 Total Award Period Covered: 12/01/03 - 11/31/07 Ultra-Portable Chemical Sensors Based on Chemoresponsive Dye Arrays Department of Defense, TSWG W91CRB-06 Project Focus: The goal of this project is the reduction to practice of colorimetric sensor arrays for the detection of toxic industrial chemicals.
