| Welcome to the BioInterfaces Group |
|
The BioInterfaces Group is a multidisciplinary and multinational research team of chemical engineers, chemists, biophysicists, and biochemists. We are determining mechanisms by which cells communicate with and respond to their environment. We focus in particular on cell adhesion and mechanosensing. A goal is to identify molecular mechanisms that influence tissue development and the progression of diseases such as cancer. We use microfabrication and precision biophysical techniques to address these topics. Our multidisciplinary approach enables us to uniquely interrogate fundamental mechanisms of cell behavior from single molecules to tissues.
